Attributes: Deciduous, Six inch long scalloped leaves with deep green new growth and contrasting under side of the leaf giving an outlined look.  Light brown bark with layered horizontal growth. A blaze of bright copper-red ribbon like blooms in winter.
Notes: Great when used as an architectural element in the garden. In the wild Hamamelis grow in forests as an understory plant and along streams.
